Metabolism, Diet and Disease Conference

Metabolism, Diet and Disease 2014: Cancer and metabolism

BioMed Central will host the second biennial Metabolism, Diet and Disease: Cancer and metabolism conference on 28th to 30th May 2014 at L’Enfant Plaza Hotel in Washington DC, USA.  The conference is supported by the journals BMC Biology and BMC Medicine, which celebrate their 10th Anniversary in 2013, and Cancer & Metabolism.  Following the success of the first Metabolism, Diet and Disease conference in 2012, this second conference will bring together leading researchers in cancer and metabolism with experts in whole-body metabolism.

Internationally recognised speakers will talk on topics which will include metabolic needs and specializations of cancer cells, obesity and caloric restriction, oncogenic drivers and vulnerabilities in altered cancer cell metabolism, metabolic modulation of epigenetics, and metabolism-based cancer therapies, forming part of a highly topical and diverse scientific program.

All participants are invited to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations. Submitted abstracts will be published as a supplement in BMC Biology, BMC Medicine and Cancer & Metabolism and indexed in PubMed and by ISI Web of Science.
